More Sri Lankan Players on IPL Boycott


ipl jpgDinesh Chandimal, Nuwan Kulasekara and Akila Dhananjaya have said that they will be dropping off the IPL while others will be taking part.

The Sports Minister said that Sri lankan players will be allowed to take part only if the Indian government would ensure them adequate security. Mean while  Sri Lanka Cricket is getting ready to have talks with the other players who intend to participate in the sixth IPL .

The National Patriotic Movement and other hard line groups are exerting pressure for a total boycott as the South Indian state has banned Sri Lankan players in Chennai.


Sri Lanka’s  former captain Arjuna Ranatunga said that  Sri Lankan players  should  boycott the IPL season 2013 to protect nation’s pride. Also he said, It’s up to the individual players to go behind money or protect the pride of their names and country.
