A Buddhist priest has complained that he was attacked in front of the Bodu Bala Sena headquarters in Colombo.
Rev. Malawwe Kalyana said that chief organizer of BBS had instigated a mob to attack him after a dispute on caste related problem.
The victim claimed that he had been complaining to the President and other authorities for protection once he was put out of the temple.
Venerable Malawwe Kalyana has complained to the authorities that at the moment he has had to rent out a house and live with the other junior monks.
The BBS has previously said that it will take stern action against Buddhist Priest who don’t conduct themselves in accordance to the principals of Buddhism.
The victim claims that as a result of the attack he has lost a tooth and the BBS has denied allegations.

A tense situation developed outside the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) office in Thunmulla this morning after a group of monks attempted to stage a demonstration against the BBS.
The police were called in to disperse the demonstrators while members of the BBS were seen verbally abusing the monks who were attempting to stage the demonstration.
In April the Bodu Bala Sena, with the assistance of the police, prevented a peaceful candle lit vigil from taking place outside the Bodu Bala Sena headquarters in Thunmulla.
A small crowd under the banner ‘Buddhists Questioning Bodu Bala Sena’ stood outside the Bodu Bala Sena headquarters and attempted to stage the vigil calling for an end to hate speeches.
However Bodu Bala Sena executive member Dilantha Widanage led a group of Bodu Bala Sena supporters towards the crowd and demanded that they leave.
The police who had provided tight security to the Bodu Bala Sena office then ordered the demonstrators to leave.
