Missing Sri Lankan Journalist Prageeth is In France-Govt MP

Government parliamentarian Arundhika Fernando told parliament a short while ago that missing journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda is currently residing in France

Earlier current Chief Justice Mohan Peiris, in his capacity as presidential advisor told the UNHRC that Ekanligoda was residing abroad.How ever later he went on to say that only god knows where the missing journlist is liveing and could not provide further detail.

Sandhya Eknaligoda, the wife of missing journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda was surprised over the claims made by Government MP Arundika Fernando that her husband was safe and sound in France.

Speaking to the Colombo Gazette, Mrs. Eknaligoda said that if the claims are true then the government should locate him and bring him back to Sri Lanka.

“I am ready to help the government in whichever way possible to bring him back if this story is true,” she said.

Father of two children, prageethwas kidnapped and relesed beore this he  had been questioned while tied to an iron rod with metal ropes. Although later released, Prageeth Eknaligoda had escaped with no major casualties at that time.

Prageeth Eknaligoda had worked as a co-producer for the 40 minutes report film named ‘Secrets of winning a War’ which was a documentary portraying Presidential Candidate Sarath Fonseka.
There was media speculation that prageeth was involved in posting human ashes to the President’s house , a claim his supporters vehemently denied.

Now the responsibility of reveling of providing further details of Prageeth remains with the government.
