Police Arrest Cardiff Protesters


A number of protesters who took part in the demonstrations against Sri Lanka in Cardiff have been arrested.

The  cricket semi-final India v Sri Lanka at the Swalec Stadium, Cardiff, was  attended by 15,000 people and a number of protesters violently demonstrated.

The  South Wales Police said that six men have been charged invading the pitch and another three have been charged for violent protest out side of the venue.

The protesters said  that they were protesting against the human rights violations in Sri Lanka.

Aprotester who invaded the pitch with a placard reading  reading ’40,000 Commonwealth Citizens massacred by Rajapaksa’ .
