Principal of Ananda Vidyalaya at Kottawa, Geegana Dharmadasa, who is in remand for allegedly attempting to accept a sexual bribe from a female parent last week, has complained to Welikada Prison authorities that he is being harassed and intimidated by other prisoners.
Prison guards found him lying on the floor of his cell, frothing from mouth and nose.
Dharmadasa was later taken to the prison hospital and the doctor who examined him had said that he didn’t suffer from any ailment.
He had been sent back to the same cell, a prison officer told The Island.
Prison sources said that he had been harassed in this manner by the other inmates after they heard that Dharmadasa had allegedly solicited a sexual bribe from a mother to admit her child to the school.
The former principal has been remanded till September 18.
